DANE'S VINTAGE FIRST BIRTHDAY GONE COUNTRY

This little guy turned one and oh did we have fun photographing his first birthday photos and his cake smash session. He has a vintage themed birthday session that was held in Puyallup at his Grandpas very own abondoned blue berry farm. What a great place and a photographers dream. This little guy had about the best smile i've ever seen. I find that mothers of little girls often spend lots of time getting their daughters photographed, but sometimes the boys get left behind. Not this time ! Dane's mama went all out and brought balloons, hand painted numbers and letters, a birthday cake and all the vintage toys you can think of from Grandpa's abandoned farm.

What a beautiful family this is. It was such a pleasure photographing them and capturing all the love that goes around in their family. Paul and Jill (Grandma and Grandpa) were married over 30 years ago and started their family right away. They have three beautiful daughters Candi, Jennifer and Sarah. Sarah married Josh in 2008 and they have two beautiful children. Jennifer and Paul married in 2009 and have a beautiful little girl.
We started this shoot with this top image capturing the full family before the little ones got antsy. You just never know when they're going to fall apart so that first imagine being a large group is important. Grandma and Grandpa want that photo more than any of the others for the most part so lets focus on making sure we get them what they want.
After the large family we transitioned into the grand babies while they were still just a couple minutes away in a great smiley mood. Kids burn out quick and you really have to give them down time in between shoots and bring lots of treats (crackers, fruit, candy if you may). We transitioned into the mother/daughter images and three generation images after this to give those kids a break and let them play in the grass and enjoy some grapes. As you can see we transitioned people in and out of images as time went on. It really is the best way to capture everyone in a great mood.
